The 4/5 star hotel is now run by fifth generation family members and employs over 500 members of staff. The Crieff Hydro boasts over 200 bedrooms, 50 self-catering properties and a dozen conference rooms. Over 60 facilities are currently available for both indoor and outdoor pursuits, including everything from archery to horse riding at the stables.

The hotel is extremely popular, bringing in people from all over the country and abroad to make use of the diverse facilities and admire the landscape.
And even better now that dogs are allowed to stay and eat at the Hydro with you.

Your furry friend can enjoy a stay with you either in a spacious and stylish executive studio or in one of the free standing self-catering cottages or chalets. These three and four star accommodation choices are perfect for those with dogs who want to get out and about with their best friend.
There are also self-service kennels available if you prefer for your companion to sleep outside.

These self-catering houses have five different dining outlets on sight, and provide just the right amount of privacy, whilst keeping you close to nearby activities.
Surrounded by spectacular scenery and a well stocked home, you have everything you need including the mod cons.

Nearby, the Clubhouse offers dogs the chance to come and grab a bite to eat with you. Situated on the

golf course, the clubhouse is dog and child friendly, and will provide your fur baby with a bowl of water on arrival. They can sit out on the decking with you and enjoy a well earned rest.
The Clubhouse has an extensive menu, serving from breakfast until dinner, with food starting at £1.25. They also have an impressive shop full of local produce christened the ‘wee larder’ which is a popular choice with tourists.

The Murraypark Hotel, sister hotel to the Creiff Hydro is also dog friendly, and has both rooms for you and your friend to stay in, as well as letting your friend lie by the fireplace as you enjoy a quiet meal in their bistro.

There are plenty of activities that you and your dog can undertake. However, we have been advised that walkies up ‘The Knock’ or the rather large hill that Crieff sits on is the best walk for dogs and owners. The highest peak offers panoramic views of the rich scenery surrounding the Hydro, while the lower levels are mainly woodland paths and would be more suited to families with children.

A well respected country hotel would be the last place we would think of as being dog friendly, however The Crieff Hydro is keeping many a man and his best friend together.
